DELAWARE, Ohio -- Notre Dame competed among 40-plus NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA programs Friday at the All-Ohio Championships. NDC's men placed 27th in a field of 38 teams, while the women finished 28th of 40. (

#Nick Glavac# ran an outstanding race against the state's top runners; he placed 41st of 269 runners in the men's competition, with a time of 26:47.4. Glavac's finish marks the best-ever finish by an NDC runner at the annual event hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University, which features the best of the Buckeye State.
Glavac placed 16th (of 75) in the event's division II (NCAAII plus NAIA). In the overall field, #Ross Lenehan# placed just out of the Top-100 at 101, with a finishing time of 28:41.0.
In the women's competition, the Falcons were paced by #Kristin Karn#, who placed 97th (23rd Division II) with a time of 20.55.
In the overall standings, Notre Dame's men scored 759 points while the women earned 805. Ohio State swept the All-Ohio Championships, scoring 28 and 58 points, respectively. The Buckeyes' Jeff See ran the meet's top time (26:07.9) over what was a muddy track at the Methodist Theological School/Delaware Golf Club.
Among NAIA and NCAAII squads, NDC's men placed seventh of 12; the women's team sixth of 12. Malone's men's and women's teams swept the Division II standings. Their victory on the men's side marked the fifth straight All-Ohio crown for Malone, the top program in the American Mideast Conference.
Falcon Cross Country will return to action on Oct. 17, when they travel to Bowling Green, Ohio, to participate in the Falcon Classic, hosted by Bowling Green State University.

ALL ABOUT ALL-OHIO: The All-Ohio Men's Championships have been held since 1955; the Women's Championships started in 1981. Ohio Wesleyan has hosted the AOC each year since 1997.

Friday's finishes mark the second straight year both Falcon squads have placed in the Top-30 at the AOC.
