Florida native to join first-year program

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame Football announced today that Thomas Stevenson has signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to continue his football career with the Falcons.

Stevenson comes to College Road from Naples, Fla., where he was a standout offensive tackle for Palmetto Ridge High School and Head Coach Tim Speakman. Stevenson was a four-year letterman for the Bears in football; he also lettered one year for the track team.

“Thomas will bring good size and skill to our offensive front,” said Notre Dame Head Coach Adam Howard.

Stevenson served as Team Captain for the Bears as a senior, and was named First Team All-District. As a junior, Stevenson was named Second Team All-District.

The son of Mike and Karen Stevenson plans on beginning classes at Notre Dame in the fall and majoring in history and political science.

The development of a Football program at Notre Dame College was announced on Nov. 25. With their development of a team, Notre Dame becomes the only scholarship football team in the metropolitan Cleveland area.
