Panther standout to help in start of first-year program

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame Football announced today that Donald Bell has signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to continue his football career with the Falcons.

Bell comes to College Road from nearby Euclid, Ohio, where he was a standout middle linebacker for Euclid High School and Head Coach Tom Gibbons. Bell was a three-year letterman for the Panthers in football; he also was a member of the track & field team at EHS.

“We are looking forward to developing our defense around skilled players like Donald,” said Notre Dame Head Coach Adam Howard.

Bell served as team captain for the Panthers in his senior season (2008) and was named All-Lake Erie League after his senior season.

The son of LaJuanna Bell plans on beginning classes at Notre Dame in the fall and majoring in business.
