Falcons compete in national invite at University of Notre Dame
SOUTH BEND, Ohio -- A pair of Falcon runners earned Top-20 finishes, as Notre Dame placed 18th and 27th in the men’s and women’s competitions, respectively, at the National Catholic Invitational. (Results)

Ross Lenehan and Nick Glavac each finished in the Top-20 in the men’s competition, leading the way to 474 points and an 18th-place finish among 32 teams. Lenehan finished 15th, with a time of 26:12.8 over the circuit at the Notre Dame Golf Course. Glavac finished 18th, with a final time of 26:18.2.

The NDC women placed 27th in a field of 31 teams. Kristin Karn paced the women’s squad - she placed 86th, crossing the finish line in 20:28.9. NDC earned 699 team points.

The host Fighting Irish of UND swept the invitational. Their men’s team scored 24 points, while the women’s squad tallied 20. Overall, 32 programs - mostly NCAA-I and II institutions - and over 500 athletes competed in the event.

Falcon Cross Country will return to action on Oct. 2, when they travel to Delaware, Ohio, to participate in the All-Ohio Championship.
