#Adam Koballa# (141 pounds), #Ashtin Primus# (149), #Orlando Scales (Hwt.) and #Kurt Wolff# (174) won their weight divisions, as Notre Dame excelled in a tournament format once again this season. In addition to NDC's four victories, #Josh Rohler# (157) and #Tyler Savage# (125) earned second-place finishes, and
Brian Dean placed third at 133. The event was not team-scored.
Sunday's Purple Raider Open marks the fourth time this season that the Falcons have dominated a tournament meet. Notre Dame won the National Catholic Invitational on Nov. 7 and the RIT Tournament on Dec. 5. In between, on Nov. 14 in the unscored Harris Open, NDC grapplers earned seven titles.
The NAIA's No. 1 (Coaches' Poll) squad will return to the mats on Sunday, Jan. 24, when they host Mount St. Joseph in a dual meet at Murphy Gymnasium.
