FINDLAY, Ohio--The Notre Dame Falcons had a great showing on Saturday afternoon at the Findlay Classic, adding three national qualifiers to their list for the season, increasing the total to 12.
On the men's side, #Brandon Brodwolf# scored 4,155 points in the Heptathlon event, making him a national qualifier, and he finished second overall. #Tim Robinson#'s 50-foot, eight-inch toss in the shot put was good enough to make him a national qualifier, and he finished fifth in the event.
For the women, #Samantha Murphy# added another national qualifying mark with a 41-foot, 5-inch toss in the shot put event. In the 4x400 Meter Relay, the Falcon foursome of #Noelle Johnson#, #Cherice May#, #Tiffany Tucker# and #Shawnta Davis# lowered their national qualifying time to 4:04.25.
In addition to lowering the 4x400 qualifying time, Johnson also set a program record in the women's Triple Jump event with a jump of 10.79 meters.
The Falcons are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 6. They will go back to Findlay, to compete in the Division II Team Challenge.
