Four Falcons earn post season honors

AMC releases All-Conference and All-Freshmen teams
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio --The American Mideast Conference named its All-Conference and All-Freshmen teams for Women’s Basketball on Wednesday, and four Falcons snagged post season honors

Junior Kealy McNally was named to the AMC’s second team. The transfer from Detroit-Mercy was incredible in the second half of the season, and finished the year as the team’s leading scorer. McNally averaged 11.9 points per game this season, and scored in double figures, in 12 out of her last 15 games. The Rocky River, Ohio, native recorded a double-double on Jan. 21, against Houghton (N.Y.), scoring a season-high, 24 points and grabbed 10 boards.

Junior center Yvette Hunter made honorable mention. On Feb. 6, Hunter became the ninth player in the history of the program to score 1,000 points in her career. Hunter was second on the team, averaging 11.5 points per game, and scored a career-high, 34 points against Wilberforce (N.Y.) on Jan. 26. Hunter also led the Falcons in rebounding (6.1 RPG).

First year Falcons Chelsea Andorka and Lauren Macer made the AMC’s All-Freshmen team. Andorka also made honorable mention.  The Canton, Ohio, native led the Falcons in blocks (19), assists (65) and steals (64).  Andorka was the team's third leading scorer (10.1 PPG). 

Teams and players were voted on by all 14 head coaches in the AMC.
