NOTING NDC'S 49-14 LOSS ON SATURDAY ...
Saturday night's contest marked the 25th game in NDC Football history.
Notre Dame is now 4-8 all-time at home … 3-7 in the month of September … 4-10 in games coming off a loss … 2-4 in night games … 1-2 against teams from Michigan.
The Timberwolves won the battle on the game clock: NU managed a 39:05 time of possession in the contest. The Falcons' 20:55 time was its lowest this season.
NOTING THE OFFENSE …
NDC was held to a season-low in total yardage on Saturday. The Falcons came into the game averaging 592.0 yards per contest. The Timberwolves held the Blue & White to 271 total yards (75 rushing, 196 passing).
Running back
Pedro Powell was held to 64 rushing. He now stands 13 yards shy of 2,500 career yards.
Notre Dame's lone offensive TD was scored by
Karl Jean on a 4-yard pass from
Ray Russ. The play capped off an impressive 14-play, 90-yard drive. The march down the field marked NDC's longest drive (by number of plays) this season and the team's second 90-yard drive of the season.
NDC was held under 300 yards of total offense for just the second time in its last seven games.
NOTING THE DEFENSE …
Notre Dame has now yielded 174 points over their three games this season.
The Falcons allowed five rushing touchdowns in the contest. They have now allowed 13 TDs on the ground this season.

Jake Adkins,
Spencer Krebs,
Mo May and
Josh Remark -- registered double figures in tackles.
Mo May made a game-high 13 stops.
The 49 points scored by the Timberwolves mark the most all-time that Notre Dame has allowed in a home game.
Northwood went 11-of-16 on third-down conversions. In three games this season, Falcon foes have converted 60 percent (25-of-42) of their third-down attempts.
NOTING THE SPECIAL TEAMS …
NDC had a 32-yard field goal attempt blocked late in the first quarter.
Colton Wallace's blocked punt came three plays later, after the NDC defense pitched a three-and-out.
Wallace's blocked punt/TD marked the Falcons' first special-teams TD this season and their first since
Michael Fields returned a punt for six points against Urbana last season (Oct. 22). The score marked Wallace's fourth TD this year and in his collegiate career.
NOTING NU …
Northwood is 3-0 to start a season for the first time since 2006.
The Timberwolves averaged 14.1 points per game last year (2011). In 2012 NU has already scored 131 points (43.7 PPG). Northwood's game-high last season was 30 points; this season the Timberwolves have already scored 54 points in one game and 49 points in another.
