SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- The Notre Dame Falcon bowling team took a break from preparing for next week's national tournament, and volunteered some of their time at two separate events this past weekend.
The busy weekend began on Saturday, when the NDC bowling team traveled to Wooster, Ohio, to assist Life's Little Adventure Farm. The farm not only takes in, and rehabilitates all types of animals but it also provides learning and rewarding experiences for special needs children and families who assist in the process.
Notre Dame Head Coach Stacey Hoover, and several student athletes were busy at work at the farm, working extremely hard on a number of different tasks which included; building shelters, cleaning shelters, cleaning various areas of the farm, and several other miscellaneous tasks.
The next day, several members of the program traveled to Sequoia Pro Bowl in Columbus, Ohio, to participate in the Bowl for a Cure campaign, which benefits the Stefanie Spielman Foundation. This marked the second year that the Falcons participated in this event.
“I'm extremely proud of our student athletes,” said coach Hoover. “It was very rewarding to volunteer and give back on both accounts. The farm provided a lot of strenuous and "dirty" work and the team gave 100% which made me extremely proud to be part of them.”
