SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame College Head Coach Adam Howard announced the program's 2014 recruiting class on Wednesday. (Signing Day Central)

The incoming class, which includes over 60 student athletes, marks the program's sixth recruiting class since the program launched back in 2008.  The class includes players from five different states, including Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and a myriad of student athletes from Ohio.

"This is a great day for falcon football and Notre Dame College," said Coach Howard. "Our coaching staff has enjoyed the journey that has led to assembling the best recruiting class in our history. When I say best, that includes sincere students, great character, and difference makers on the field."

The new Flock of Falcons joins a program that will begin its fifth as a varsity program, and their third as an NCAA-II institution, coming off a five-win season, which tied a program record.

The class is highlighted by Massillon-Washington Offensive Lineman, Chase Lash, Lakota West Quarterback Malik Grove, Park Vista (Fla.) Wide Receiver Emmanuel Smith, Youngstown-Ursuline Defensive End Sha'haun Williams, Northwest Linebacker Keshun Horton, Horton's teammate at Northwest, Wide Receiver Darius Johnson and a teammate of Lash's at Massillon-Washington in Running Back Ly'Ron Wilson.

"We're on a mission to win a Mountain East Conference Championship, and I believe we took a huge step forward toward that goal today," Coach Howard added. "Enjoy browsing through the biggest and best recruiting class in NDC history!"

The 2014 season marks NDC's second as a member of the Mountain East Conference.  In 2013, the Falcons went 5-6 overall, and 4-5 in Conference play.  They are scheduled to begin the 2014 season on the road, in Fairmont, W.Va., against Fairmont State, on Saturday, Sept. 6.
