SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- For the fourth consecutive academic year, the Notre Dame College Athletic Department will host its annual Sock It 2 Breast Cancer campaign. The campaign helps raise breast cancer awareness while also raising donations for numerous charities.
Each athletic team at NDC participates to raise awareness and/or funds for specific breast cancer organizations that have a special meaning to each team. Last year, the Falcons athletic teams raised over $2,000 dollars to donate towards breast cancer organizations, including research and support groups.
"Our Falcon student-athletes have really bought into the overall scope of Sock It 2 Breast Cancer since its introduction in the 2012-13 year," said Director of Athletics
Scott Swain. "I am so proud of our student-athletes' efforts for such a worthwhile cause. I hope we can find a cure for this disease that affects so many people."
Below is a list of home dates that each NDC athletic team will wear pink for their Breast Cancer Awareness game. Donations will be accepted throughout the game, with all proceeds going to breast cancer charities and organizations.
