Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- History was made on Sunday afternoon as
Martha Nagbe became the all-time leading scorer in Notre Dame College women's basketball history, and led the Falcons to a 86-74 home win over Concord.

 Nagbe, the 2015 Mountain East Conference Player of the Year, led the Falcons with 28 points on 9-15  FGs, including 3-5 from beyond the arc. Her 28-point effort not only led the Falcons to victory, but also  gives her 1,621 career points, surpassing the previous record of 1,600 points held by Amanda Blazetic '05.Â
 The Falcons (7-6, 4-3 MEC) played dominant defense early on, holding the visiting Mountain Lions to just  seven points in the first quarter. NDC led 16-7 after one quarter, and added to their lead with a 25-21  second quarter advantage.
 At halftime, the Falcons led by 13 points, 41-28, but the game was far from over.
 Concord responded with a strong offensive attack in the third quarter, trimming the Falcons' lead to just  two, 63-61, going into the fourth and final quarter.
 With a narrow two-point lead going into the fourth quarter, the Falcons proved resilient and maintained their  composure.
Lauren Langenderfer made a pair of free throws to open the quarter, and Nagbe hit a jumper to  push NDC's lead to six, 67-61.
After a Concord basket,
Kelsey Miller went 2-2 at the free throw line to push the lead to six again. Nagbe then forced one of her nine steals on the day and converted that into a lay-up, making the lead 71-63 over Concord.
Alyssa Kraus then hit a 3-pointer from distance, extending the Falcons' lead to 11 points, 74-63, with just 5:28 remaining.
Nagbe and the Falcons continued to force turnovers in the final minutes of the game, and held on for a double-digit win over Concord, 86-74.
With the win, the Falcons have now won four straight while improving to 7-6 overall, including 4-3 in MEC play.
NDC will return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at home against University of Virginia at Wise in another home MEC contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Murphy Gym.
