Brianne Schmansky had 11 kills and hit .333 to lead the NDC front court, while the defense was paced by
Kate Verhoff, who had 11 digs.
The win for Notre Dame (15-14, 5-6 American Mideast) marks their third in a row and it keeps them in the race for one of six AMC postseason tournament berths. All three wins in the Falcons’ win streak have come in straight sets; the Blue & White are 9-4 this season in three-set matches.
For Ursuline (8-23, 1-8) the loss marked their sixth in a row. NDC is now 17-4 in 21 all-time meetings with their neighbors to the east.
The Falcons’ next match is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 27, when the Falcons host Tiffin in a non-conference tilt. That match will be at home; first serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
